The TP-Link Tapo 2K Indoor/Outdoor Home Security Wi-Fi Camera is a compact plug-in security camera designed for flexible monitoring inside or outside the home. With an IP66 weatherproof rating, it can be used in spaces such as living rooms, bedrooms, nurseries, hallways, front doors, gardens, sheds and outdoor entrances.
The camera records in 2K QHD 4MP resolution, giving more detail than standard 1080p cameras. A starlight sensor, dual spotlights and full-colour night vision help deliver clearer images in low light, while invisible IR mode allows night monitoring without the visible red IR indicator.
Smart AI detection helps identify motion, people, vehicles, pets, baby crying, barking, meowing, glass breaking and line-crossing activity. Customisable activity zones and system notifications help reduce unnecessary alerts and focus monitoring on the areas that matter most.
The magnetic base and 3m Type-C power cable make installation more flexible, while full duplex two-way audio lets users speak through the camera in real time. Video can be stored locally on a microSD card up to 512GB, or through optional Tapo Care cloud storage.
