TJ’s Tip:

Preparation is key for a long-lasting finish. Make sure timber is clean, dry and lightly sanded before application. Apply evenly in the direction of the grain using a good quality synthetic brush. Pay particular attention to end grains and joints, as these areas are most vulnerable to moisture — a little extra care here will significantly extend the life of the coating.
