TJ’s Tip:

Make sure decking is clean, dry and free from algae or previous loose coatings before applying. Give the surface a good scrub with a suitable deck cleaner and allow it to fully dry. Apply along the length of the boards to avoid lap marks, and don’t overload the brush — two thin coats will give better penetration and a longer-lasting finish than one heavy coat.
