For secure, discreet access to your underground drainage in light-duty areas, the Galvanized Recessed Manhole Cover (24" x 24") is the perfect solution. This unit is designed for patios, garden paths, and pedestrian zones, allowing you to infill the lid with your choice of material (e.g., paving slabs or concrete) to match the surrounding finish.
Certified to the A15 loading class (up to 1.5 tonnes), this cover is designed purely for foot traffic and is strictly unsuitable for vehicle use. The robust galvanized steel frame and lid offer superior protection against rust and corrosion.
Key Features:
- A15 Pedestrian Load Class: Strictly for foot traffic areas (patios, paths, gardens). Not suitable for driveways.
- Recessed Design: The lid features a tray (approx. 43.5mm depth) that can be infilled to blend seamlessly with your surrounding ground finish.
- Galvanized Finish: Both the frame and lid are galvanized to provide exceptional long-term resistance to rust and weather.
- Standard Size: Designed to fit existing or new standard inspection chamber openings of approximately 24" x 24" (600mm x 600mm clear opening).
- Easy Installation: Comes as a complete unit (frame and lid) for straightforward bedding into a mortar base.

When installing, use a solid concrete base and a strong mortar mix for bedding the frame to ensure maximum stability. Remember to purchase a pair of lifting keys separately, as these are essential for safely removing the lid when you need to access the inspection chamber.
