For a dependable, all‑purpose primer that sticks where other primers struggle, the Fleetwood Pure Grip Water Based Primer is a must‑have preparation product for trade painters and DIY customers at TJ O’Mahony. This high‑quality, water‑based primer, sealer and undercoat delivers excellent adhesion, quick drying and low odour application — ideal for prepping a wide range of interior and exterior surfaces before top‑coating. Pure Grip is formulated to bond to challenging substrates including plaster, plasterboard, wood, PVC, tiles and more, without the need for heavy sanding — saving time on site and giving you a cleaner base for your finishing coats. Its unique resin blend helps block and seal stains, tannin bleed and marks from graffiti or ink, so your topcoat goes on clean and true.

Touch‑dry in about 30 minutes with recoat times of 1–2 hours, this fast‑curing primer keeps projects moving while delivering professional‑grade results

TJ’s Tip:

Prep the surface well — remove loose paint and dust, and make sure bare timber or plaster is dry before applying Pure Grip. For best results, apply one even coat and allow full recoat time before top‑coating with your chosen finish paint

This right to return does not apply to products that are non stock and only available to order such as catalogued doors, catalogued bathroomware and mixed paints which are made especially for your order.

Please note that we are unable to accept returns on certain bagged building products and materials, including (but not limited to) hard wall, cement, bonding, slates, and ridges. We appreciate your understanding and recommend checking product requirements carefully before purchase.
