The BG SDBCO-02 Battery Operated Carbon Monoxide Alarm provides reliable detection and warning of carbon monoxide (CO), helping protect occupants against this potentially dangerous and odourless gas. Powered by 2 x AA batteries, which are included, the alarm does not require a mains electrical connection, allowing straightforward installation in suitable locations around the home.
The alarm produces a powerful 85dB(A) warning sound at 3 metres and features useful Test and Hush functions for convenient operation. A low-battery mode provides a warning when the alarm needs replacing, helping ensure users are alerted when the unit has reached the appropriate replacement point.
Designed as a Type B carbon monoxide alarm, the SDBCO-02 is suitable for wall mounting and is supplied with fixing screws. BG specifies a sensor coverage range of approximately 20–40m².
For added assurance, the alarm is certified to BS EN 50291-1:2018, carries UKCA and CE certification, and has a stated 10-year product lifetime and 10-year warranty.
